Founded in 1565 by Don Pedro Menendez de Aviles, it has been home to Spanish, Irish, English, Scots, Africans, Minorcans, and Americans in its almost 450-year history.

Rich traditions of music - sacred and secular, vocal and instrumental - arrived as well.

The Colonial Harpist invites you to enjoy the delights and diversity of this heritage.

Sometimes it's the harp alone. Sometimes the harpist invites her friends to join her, reminding us of a time when music was a shared pleasure.
